Dolphins In The Duel

Ryan Tannehill: Cost $6,900, 16.5 PPG

Last 3: 8.54, 23.04, 15.82

Tannehill has been unbelievably inconsistent as of late and you can see that in his last three games above. He went 9 for 19 for 86 yards and a touchdown last week against the Baltimore Ravens. The week before he went 33 for 58 for 351 yards and 3 touchdowns against the Jets. What makes this even more confusing is Baltimore’s defense has given up the 8th most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks and the Jets have given up the 22nd most. He does have a really good match up against the New York Giants, who have given up the 4th most points to QBs, but he is far too inconsistent to trust at this point.

Lamar Miller: Cost $6,600, 13.5 PPG

Last 3: 10.3, 2.8, 6.5

Lamar Miller had a comeback game against the Ravens after his worse game of the season against the Jets. He rushed for over 100 yards for the first time since week 7, but was held without a touchdown. This week he goes up against the New York Giants. The Giants have given up the 10th most fantasy points to running backs, but Miller will only get enough touches to be useful fantasy-wise if Miami takes an early lead or they keep it close all game long. Miller matches up well against the Giants, but he might not get the touches he needs to be effective.

Jarvis Landry: Cost $7,100, 14.2 PPG

Last 3: 1.5, 29.4, 8.6

Start of the week

Landry struggled against the Ravens due to a nagging knee injury, but he will have the extra day to heal and should be ready to go on Monday night. Last week was his worst fantasy performance of the season, but he is only two weeks removed from his best performance. His nearly 30 points he put up against a stingy Jets defense was impressive. He has proven himself to be a dynamic player that is unbelievably dangerous in the open field. He will face the Giants secondary, which is one of the worst in the entire NFL and they rank 30th in passing yards allowed.

DeVante Parker: Cost $5,900, 3.7 PPG

Last 3: 13.8, 16, 6.1

DeVante Parker has been on fire recently. He has 189 receiving yards in the last three games despite only having 10 catches in that same time frame. That puts his average reception 18.9 yards in those last three games. He also has a receiving touchdown in each of the last two games. Parker will be playing the worst pass defense he has seen all season this week as well.

Jordan Cameron: Cost $5,000, 4.6 PPG

Last 3: 0.9, 2.3, 9.1

Cameron is a talented tight end, but Miami doesn’t throw to their tight ends much. Even if you add Dion Sims’ numbers to Cameron’s, it still isn’t much. They combine for only 8 catches in the last three games. Neither of them has had more than 2 catches in a game since week 6 against the Titans. Even against the Giants weak pass coverage don’t expect much from Cameron in FanDuel.

Andrew Franks: Cost $4,500, 4.7 PPG

Last 3: 1, 2, 2

The rookie kicker has been accurate this season, but he doesn’t get nearly enough opportunities to be useful in fantasy football. He has hit 8 out of his 10 field goal attempts, but has zero attempts in the last three weeks. He also has never made more than two field goals in a single game.

Miami Defense: Cost $4,600, 6.8 PPG

Last 3: 17, -3, 7

The Miami Dolphins defense has been all over the place in the last three games. They had a great game, including a pick six, against the Ravens, but gave up 38 points to the Jets. This week they play the Giants inconsistent offense. The Giants have scored at least 20 in each of the last three games. They have also thrown six picks in the last four games and have only thrown seven touchdowns in that same time frame. Their running game is almost non-existent. All Miami has to do is keep pressure on Eli and take OBJ out of the game. Miami hasn’t been great at defending the pass this year and that will be a key in this match-up.
