Kenyan Drake Tastes Success in the NFL

Every NFL rookie coming into the league longs for that first taste of success, including Kenyan Drake

When the Miami Dolphins selected Drake in the 3rd round of the 2016 draft, there were questions as to how much success he could have and whether or not he could be the compliment they need for Jay Ajayi.  Well, Kenyan Drake has already proven himself successful…….sort of.

Drake is officially the Madden Bowl champion of the 22nd NFL Rookie Premiere.   The Rookie Premiere is the NFL Players Association’s annual rookie orientation that includes seminars on brand-building and finances as well as a chance for marketable rookie players to meet up with NFLPA business partners.  Included in their time at the Premiere is a chance for 40 of the NFL’s best new rookies to compete against each other at an Madden NFL video game tournament.   Drake ended up beating everyone in order to earn his Madden Bowl crown and his first taste of NFL success, and major props going into the Dolphins’ locker room this year.

Even 3rd-year player, Ja’Wuan James tweeted his congratulations to him,

Congrats on the madden bowl…We gotta play now.”

Hopefully, for the Dolphins, this is just a small taste of Drake’s competitiveness and the success he can have when he starts playing the real game of football.
